1. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to the NanthAI Edge iOS app, related support operations, and the backend services used to operate Edge. It covers information we collect directly from you, information generated as you use the app, and information we receive when you connect external providers such as Google, Microsoft, Notion, or Apple Calendar.
2. Information we collect
Account and identity information
When you sign in, we use Clerk for authentication. This may include identifiers such as your email address, account ID, session metadata, and basic profile information required to keep your account signed in and secure.
App content you create or store
- Chats, messages, and related conversation metadata.
- Personas, persona images, persona settings, and avatar assets.
- Memories and memory embeddings when memory is enabled for your account.
- Uploaded files, generated files, and file attachment metadata.
- Scheduled jobs, recurring prompts, execution history, and job settings.
- Model preferences, tool settings, and integration preferences.
Connected account and integration data
If you connect third-party services, we store the minimum tokens, credentials, or connection metadata required to use those integrations on your behalf. Depending on the provider, this may include access tokens, refresh tokens, expiry times, scopes, account email addresses, workspace identifiers, or connection status.
For Apple Calendar, the current connection flow uses your Apple Account email plus an Apple app-specific password for iCloud Calendar access. Those credentials are stored server-side so Edge can perform calendar actions for you until you disconnect the integration or revoke the password in your Apple Account settings.
Diagnostics and device information
We may collect device tokens for notifications, app diagnostics, error logs, feature usage signals, and basic technical metadata needed to keep the service stable, investigate problems, and improve the product.
3. How we use information
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To deliver chat, persona, memory, file, and scheduled-task features.
- To connect to external providers you explicitly authorize.
- To run requested or scheduled user-facing actions across connected tools.
- To troubleshoot bugs, provide support, and improve product quality.
- To enforce product limits, entitlements, and anti-abuse protections.
4. External services and processors
NanthAI Edge relies on third-party services to operate. These currently include services such as Clerk for identity, Convex for backend data and functions, OpenRouter for model access when you connect it, Apple for App Store billing and platform services, and provider APIs such as Google, Microsoft, Notion, or iCloud when you choose to connect them. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. How connected provider data is used
Connected provider data is only accessed when you explicitly connect that provider and then use a related feature, such as a chat tool call, a scheduled job, or a provider-specific action. We do not connect providers silently in the background.
When you ask Edge to use a connected provider, the provider response may be read by the app, stored in backend records needed to complete the request, and included in the context sent to the AI model you selected through OpenRouter or another model provider. This happens only to deliver the feature you requested, such as summarising an email, drafting a reply, creating a calendar event, or updating a Notion page.
Google Workspace data
If you connect Google, Edge may access Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar data that is necessary for the tools you enable. This may include email message content and metadata, file metadata and file contents, and calendar event data.
Google Workspace data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that you request inside Edge. We do not sell Google user data and do not use it for advertising. We do not let humans read Google Workspace data except when reasonably necessary for security, support, legal compliance, or with your explicit request or consent.
Microsoft 365 data
If you connect Microsoft 365, Edge may access Outlook mail data, OneDrive file data, and Microsoft calendar data that is necessary for the tools you enable. This data is used only to execute the actions you request through chats or scheduled jobs.
Notion data
If you connect Notion, Edge may access pages, blocks, databases, and workspace metadata that you explicitly authorize through Notion's connection flow. This data is used only to provide the Notion features you trigger in the app.
Apple Calendar data
If you connect Apple Calendar, Edge may access iCloud Calendar metadata and event content needed to list, create, update, or delete events on your behalf. The Apple Calendar connection is performed using your Apple Account email and an Apple app-specific password that you provide.
6. Payments and Pro features
Purchases and refunds for paid iOS features are handled through Apple. NanthAI Edge stores entitlement state needed to unlock or remove paid functionality. Certain paid features, including memory, may be disabled when Pro access is revoked. If Pro access is revoked or refunded, Edge may delete memory data associated with that paid feature in accordance with the product design.
7. Data retention and deletion
We retain data for as long as your account or product usage requires it, unless we need to keep it longer for security, legal, or operational reasons.
- Chats, personas, files, and settings are retained until you delete them or delete your account.
- Connected-provider tokens or credentials are retained until you disconnect the provider, revoke access, or delete your account.
- Apple Calendar credentials are retained until you disconnect Apple Calendar, delete your account, or revoke the app-specific password.
- Memory data is retained until deleted, your account is deleted, or Pro revocation triggers a memory purge.
- Some operational records, such as stale search or job-run records, may be retained only for limited periods for reliability and debugging.
You can delete some data directly in the app. Edge also includes an in-app account deletion flow. If you want your account or related app data deleted, contact support@nanthai.tech.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including secure authentication, backend access controls, and platform storage mechanisms. No internet or cloud system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and revocation
- You can choose whether to connect third-party services.
- You can remove connected integrations inside the app.
- You can disable optional features such as memory where supported.
- You can request deletion of your account or stored data.
- You can revoke provider access from the provider side, such as your Google, Microsoft, Notion, or Apple account settings.
For Apple Calendar specifically, you can revoke access by deleting the app-specific password in your Apple Account settings. For Google, Microsoft, and Notion, you can revoke the integration in the relevant provider's account permissions or app management settings.
10. Sale, advertising, and training
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use connected-provider data for advertising. Connected-provider data is processed only to deliver the user-facing features you request. If such data is sent to an AI model provider you selected through OpenRouter or another model access layer, that provider's handling is governed by its own terms, privacy policy, and account settings.
The use of information received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
11. Children
NanthAI Edge is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice in the app or through support channels when appropriate.
13. Contact
Privacy questions, deletion requests, or support issues can be sent to support@nanthai.tech.
